The American Cancer Society offers free brochures on preventing, diagnosing, and treating different kinds of cancer. You can place an order for them by phone by calling 1-800-ACS-2345. The brochures can be mailed to you. You can also receive information regarding ACS educational materials online at www.cancer.org
The National Cancer Institute/Cancer Information Services also provides free health education publications, however, there is a minimal shipping and handling fee of 10 cents per copy for orders over 20 items. You may use their website to view and order NCI publications at www.cancer.gov/publications. You may also order materials by phone at 1-800-4 CANCER (1–800–422–6237) Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is a trusted source of breast health and breast cancer information. Komen provides up-to-date, high-quality materials, including BSE cards, brochures, posters, videos/CD-ROM and presentation kits. Many items are available in different languages and are designed to meet the needs of diverse populations. To purchase Komen materials you may visit the Susan G. Family PACT offers a wide range of reproductive health educational materials free of charge to enrolled Family PACT providers. Order forms are available online at www.familypact.org The Education and Counseling Material FAX Order Form can be filled out and returned to (888) 723-3667. Please do NOT call in your orders. They encourage providers to order a 3-4 month supply at one time.
