The Partnership carries out a number of functions on a daily or otherwise on-going basis as part of our efforts in breast and cervical cancer early detection and healthy lifestyle education.  We:

  • Facilitate breast and cervical cancer screening
  • Recruit, train, and support providers to participate in breast and cervical health service delivery networks.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms to assist providers in start-up, and provide ongoing technical assistance in developing patient tracking and follow-up systems.
  • Provide and/or coordinate the provision of professional education on breast and cervical cancer screening and related subjects.
  • Assist patients and providers to find appropriate treatment services.
  • Address gaps in the delivery of breast and cervical services.
  • Coordinate linkages with community-based organizations, business and civic leaders, elected officials, health care providers, and others.
  • Facilitate relationships between health care providers and other entities, which can assist women in obtaining services such as transportation, childcare, language translation, and other social support services.
  • Conduct local targeted outreach and education to low-income, high-risk women in breast and cervical health and healthy lifestyle.
